Some city that i would reaally like to visit is Merida, Yucatan. Its and incredible place, i went about six years ago, i fell in love with the place. It has these wonderful and giant pyramids, there are small pyramids too, and you can climb them, and see the seventh wonder of the world, the pyramid of Chichenitza, i met the story of the mayas too, i saw the statues and climbed some pyramids too, the sun and moon pyramid. It was very fun, but also it was tiring. In Yucatan there is a beautiful cave with a very pure water, called cenote.
i enjoy the traditional festivals, thats why i would like to go too, in a predeterminated season they have a traditional festival , where you can see the traditional dancings, and clothes, also traditional songs played by the mariachis.
The food in there is super delicious, i tried for the first time the lime soup, it was like a chicken soup but including slices of lime, the cochinita pibil tacos! oh my God a heavenly taco made of spicy meat, with some purple onions and celery, panuchos are delicious, its a kind of sope, with chicken and everything caracteristic but with a particular taste of Yucatan and of course... purple onions.
i really want to go back there, because i fell in love with everything, not only with the festivals, the place and the food, also with the people of there, they were so nice! so kind and happy, so loud and festive, they also know a lot of their history.
